On a date!

Vähän aikaa sitten pääsimme mieheni kanssa piiitkästä aikaa treffeille. Äitini tuli hoitamaan meidän pikku Danielaa ja saimme rillutella kokonaisen päivän! Olin suunnitellut päivän itse, niin että kaikki mitä teimme oli yllätystä miehelleni. Lähtiessämme ulos ovesta jumituin hetkeksi käytävään miettimään, että onko nyt varmasti kaikki tarvittava mukana. Sitä kun on tottunut lähtemään mukanaan aina vähintään yksi suhteellisen painava kassillinen jossa pullo maitoa, muutama vaippa, muutama lelu, kirja, tutti... lista jatkuu mitä kauemmin aikoo olla poissa kotoa. Nyt osasin oikein nauttia siitäkin, että kerrankin laukkuni on pieni ja kevyt! Ja oli sekin aika kivaa, että sain istua pitkästä aikaa auton etupenkillä oman kullan vieressä <3.

Ensin suuntasimme Helsingin keskustassa olevaan Amos Andersonin museoon, jossa emme olleet koskaan käyneet. Tämä oli meille aika harvinaista, sillä emme ole erityisen "museo-ihmisiä". Halusin päivään jotakin sellaista, mitä emme yleensä tee.

Some while ago we went on a date with my husband, our first in a looong time. My mum came over to look after our daughter and we got the whole day for our selves! I had planned the day on my own as a surprise for my husband. While we were leaving the house I got stuck in the hallway thinking, do I really have everything with me. You see, I´m used to carry at least one quite heavy bag with me, which includes one bottle of milk, a few diapers, a few toys, a book for babies, dummy... and the list goes on, the further away you´re leaving the house. Now I could really enjoy to carry just one small and light bag with me! It was also quite nice, that I was able to sit in the frontseat in our car beside my husband <3.

First we went to a museum in the center of Helsinki called Amos Anderson, a place we had never visited before. This was quite rare for us, because we are not the typical "museum-kinda people". I wanted to do something we don´t usually do.

Kokemuksena Amos oli ihan kiva, mutta ei mitenkään häkellyttävä. Yhdessä kerroksessa oleva murhatarina oli mielenkiintoisin, vaikka sen olisi voinut mielestämme tehdä vieläkin hurjemmaksi. Nappasin kuvat lemppareistani:

As an experience Amos was ok, but nothing extra ordinary. On one floor there was a murderstory, which was the most interesting - although it could´ve been more dramatic and intense. Here are the pictures of my favorites:

Tämän jälkeen kävelimme keskustan ja bulevardin kaduilla Helsingin vilskeestä nauttien, josta suuntasimme ravintolaan nimeltä Boulevard Social. Olimme kuulleet ravintolasta hyvää, joten odotuksemme olivat aika korkeat.

Todella hyviä makuelämyksiä olivat alkudrinkki Moroccan flower power, grillattu lammas ja paahdettu kana. Muut tilaamamme ruoat sekä jälkiruoka olivat vähän pettymyksiä. Ravintolan tunnelma oli ihana (vaikka pöydät olivatkin ehkä hiukan liian lähellä toisiaan, romanttista illallista ajatellen), musiikki mieluista ja palvelu erittäin hyvää - tästä iso plussa!

After this we walked the streets of Helsinki enjoying the feeling of the city and then we headed to a restaurant called Boulevard Social. We had heard good feedback about it, so our expectations were quite high.

Really good flavours were the aperitif Moroccan flower power, grilled lamb on a stick and a roasted chicken dish. Other food we ordered, were a bit disappointment. The atmosphire was wonderful (allthough the tables were a little too close to each other,lacking privacy on a romantic dinner), music was nice and the service excellent - a big plus for that!
